I have really been racking my brain on what to put on here and I know that I have not been updating this as of lately but this is something I really want to do. I am hoping that one day I can make a cook book and give it to my children. Then hopefully they can make things they ate during their childhood. So far I have a long list of items that I must add that the family loves. So I figured I would start now. Enjoy this amazing recipe that my family loves and don't be scared of the cinnamon. It isn't the same without it.
Beef Bolognese
1 medium onion chopped fine
1 cup carrots shredded (I use a cheese grater)
1 medium zucchini shredded
1 Lg garlic clove crushed
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 lb hamburger
1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt or salt to taste
2 springs fresh oregano (stems removed)
Fry hamburger, onion, carrots, zucchini and garlic clove until onions are translucent. Drain off most of the grease. Add remaining ingredients and simmer on low for 1 hour stirring occasionally. Serve over pasta and enjoy.
